People are more difficult to work with than machines. And when you break a person, he can’t be fixed. – Hephaestus || The Battle of the Labyrinth (Rick Riordan)
Being in the I.T field, computer has always been a big part of my life. What’s good about it is that majority of its part can be replaced and customized. If the hard drive no longer works, just buy a new one and stick it in. When the monitor is defective, buy a new one then plug it in! No matter how complex it is for some and having a mind of its own sometimes, when it’s broken, it can be fix. It will work as if it’s new again.
That’s how different a computer is to a human. When a part of you shatters, no matter how much you try to put it back together, you will never be the same again… never.
Was there a time in your life where you’ve wished you’re a computer/machine instead? That when a certain part of your body hurts so bad, you can just replace it with a different one? Or if you have experienced something bad, you can just simply wipe it out permanently in your system without affecting the other happy memories you have?
The thing is, no matter how broken you are, it is up to you and you alone to cast the die and press on or just stay in the dark corner buried in your sorrow. Coz the painful truth is, the world will keep on revolving whether you’re in it or not.
